We can now say that we are officially done transforming your blog into a business website.

But there will always be room for improvement.

For example, our “About” and “Contact” pages currently look simple and dull.

We were okay with the simple look because we built them with a blogging website in mind.

But now that we have transformed our website into a business website, you must give those pages a neat makeover.

The “About” and “Contact” pages should be more persuasive when running a business website.

This is because they have the power to convert visitors into clients.

So, I have a challenge for you.

I have created two new designs for the “About” and “Contact” pages.

Here is the new persuasive design for the “About” page:

It is a great “About” page because it has:

  1. Vision and Mission statements
  2. Testimonials
  3. Happy pictures of the team members
  4. Stats of how well the business is performing over the years

And you already know how to build this kind of design with the “Block Editor” pretty easily.

So, I want you to take some time, adopt the above design for your needs and build the “About” page to fit your needs.

I also want you to do the same with the “Contact” page.

Here is the new persuasive design for the “Contact” page:

This new design is persuasive because it has an effective headline that says:

“We are here for you. How can we help?”

That statement gives a kind of comfort to the visitors and leads them to get in touch with you.

If they are hesitant, the testimonials at the end of the page will give them the confidence to contact you.

This is why it is a great “Contact” page.

So, I want you to take some time, adopt the above design for your own needs and build the “Contact” page to fit your needs.

Block Editor tricks for implementing the above designs

If you notice both designs, they have some sections that are nested-column layouts.

And you can easily achieve them by placing “Columns” blocks inside “Columns” blocks:

The “Columns” block accepts all kinds of blocks inside it.

Inside the Block Editor, you can place any block inside any block.

For example, I placed the WP Forms shortcode inside the “Columns” block. And that’s how the form is rendered on the column’s left side.

So, just because the design looks complicated, it doesn’t mean implementation is complex too.

The Conclusion

Long theory short, your website should have purposeful and persuasive internal pages when running a business website.

You never know on which page the soon-to-be customer could get impressed.

So, take your time and build all the internal pages with good design and message.

Only then you can call your website a business website.

We will conclude this module in the next lesson.
